Data Analysis and Visualisation
Experiments involving mass spectrometry-based proteomics generate enormous amounts of peptide/protein data, that need to be processed, filtered, normalised and tested for statistical significance. These data also need to be visualised in a meaningful way, with the possibility of interactive visualisations. For these tasks, we rely on both free software tools and commercially available packages. For processing raw MS data we use MaxQuant, Spectronaut, Byonic, and Proteome Discoverer.
For data filtering, normalisation, visualisations and statistical testing, we use R (R Studio). For more interactive follow-up analysis and visualisation we typically use Tableau.
